Welcoming Committee, Sheri Farabaugh, Original Oil Painting, Unframed, SOLD includes shipping.

Welcoming Committee, Sheri Farabaugh, Original Oil Painting, Unframed, SOLD includes shipping. Another Brighton, Colorado scene. They looked friendly enough, but I was certainly outnumbered. The chain link fence kept it all civil. I've just about moved into my studio space there, I'll take the paints and paintings over tomorrow and get started. It'll be good to be away from the internet, garden, refridgerator.... This little daily study is SOLD which includes shipping, and can be purchased by going to : http://sherifarabaughart.blogspot.com/

Late Night, Original Oil Painting, 6x8, $75 unframed includes postage

Late Night, 6x8, Original Oil by Sheri Farabaugh, $75 unframed includes postage. I am so excited to move from my upstairs room, to new studio space in Brighton. The room in our house was just too small, and those tiny aspens we planted 10 years ago were blocking too much light. After assessing my new space I took a walk around town with my camera, and this was my favorite shot. I decided to call it Late Night, although my husband had a couple of other ideas.

Springtime Field 2, Original Oil by Sheri Farabaugh, 5x7, SOLD

Springtime Field 2, Original Oil by Sheri Farabaugh, 5x7 SOLD. I went back to the scene of my plein air painting on May 30th (also blogged on May 30th). Why not, it was the first plein air in a long time that I actually liked. The first painting had the advantage of a bright red underpainting. I think a red underpainting helps a lot when you're faced with a lot of green. Could I paint a successful painting without that built in bit of color? I think so. In fact I think I like the second one a little bit better. What do you think?

Tree of Life, Original Painting, Sheri Farabaugh

Tree of LIfe, Sheri Farabaugh, Original Oil Painting 18x36 This painting will be for sale at the Art Student's League Summer Art Market. One of Denver's Finest art fairs. Sat and Sun, June 9th and 10th from 10am to 5pm, 200 Grant Streetm Denver, CO. Tent #135. . And just to add a little bit about this rascal of a painting: . I imagine every artist has a painting that has seemed like a lifetime project. They wind up turned to the wall for months on end, hoping for a revealation when you finally take another look. This is one of mine....there are others. Some eventually work and some just get painted over. Funny thing is, the most detailed parts of this painting were the things that came together fairly effortlessly. It was the top half, fading into the mist that gave me fits. How much detail was too much in the foliage, and finding just the right shade of green was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Finally, I think it's been 3 (maybe 4) years later, I think I'm there. Whew!

Back of the Boat, Original Oil by Sheri Farabaugh

Back of the Boat, Original Oil by Sheri Farabaugh, 9x12, Contact the artist for sales information: SLFarabaugh@hotmail.com Just a little painting of the back of my parents boat at the cottage on Wind Lake. I loved the reflections in the water. Just can't help myself when I see patterns like that. I can sit on the pier, dangle my feet in the water, and be perfectly happy for the afternoon.
